Brookside Village, Fultondale Village, Hickory Grove and Red Hollow apartments Public Housing

The Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA) will accept Public Housing waiting list applications for apartments at Brookside Village, Fultondale Village, Hickory Grove and Red Hollow apartments from July 31, 2023 at 8:00 am, until August 14, 2023 at 4:00 pm CT

There are two ways to apply while the waiting list is open:

1. Print the paper application

2. Pick up the application from the Jefferson County Housing Authority (Fultondale Office) 2100 Stoney Brook Lane, Fultondale, AL 35068. Applications may be picked up anytime between 8:00 am to 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday. 

Once the application has been completed, applicants are required to call (205) 841-2595 to make an appointment to return the application. Applications are accepted at the JCHA (Fultondale Office), address mentioned above

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Displaced person(s)
  • Individuals or families displaced by government action or whose dwelling has been extensively damaged or destroyed as a result of a disaster declared or otherwise formally recognized pursuant to Federal Disaster Relief Laws

• Applicants with an adult family member currently working 30 hours a week
  • This preference is also extended equally to all elderly families and all families whose head or spouse is receiving income based on their inability to work

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences
