Atlantic City, New JerseySection 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Atlantic City Housing Authority (ACHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 16, 2024, until March 20, 2024 or until 500 applications have been received. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in November, 2020

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Family that has been terminated from its HCV program due to insufficient program funding
  • Therefore, families that are terminated due to insufficient funding must reapply for assistance and be selected from the waiting list. Families that reapply will still be subject to the ACHA’s eligibility requirements

• Public Housing families experiencing unusual circumstances where there is a clear and present danger to the family because of violence other than domestic
  • Families that apply for assistance must be selected from the waiting list and are subject to the ACHA’s eligibility requirements

550 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences
